The deacon [Jonathan Raymond] followed his brother, Daniel Raymond, to Beaver River [Digby County] and took the mill privilege at Cedar Lake.
He signed the original pledge of the earliest Temperance Society in British North America, organized at Beaver River, 23 April 1828.
He and Elizabeth had 13 children, Elizabeth was called Betsy.
