Nathan\u2019s parents were still living when he died. He married 1st Eleanor MacKenzie, daughter of Alexander and Mary (Sollows) Mackenze. They had an un-named child who died in infancy. Eleanor\u2019s death may have been related to the birth of that child. Nathan married 2nd Almira Goudey, daughter of Stephen and Mary (Haskell) Goudey. Nathan and Almira had two sons: Wentworth and William. After Nathan died Almira married two more times.
