Epitaph: Sister thou art gone to rest. We will not weep for thee, for thou are not where oft on earth thy spirit longed to be

Elizabeth was born 24 April 1827 and died 31 October 1884, the daughter of Stephen and Lois (Moses) Saunders. She married first, Nathaniel Raymond (1764-1845) by whom she had one known child, a son Nathaniel. Elizabeth’s husband Nathaniel is buried in the Founders Cemetery. Many years after Nathaniel’s death Elizabeth married Deacon Alexander Haley (1814-1883) who is buried in the Chebogue Cemetery.
