Crosby, Elizabeth Ann

Elizabeth Ann Crosby

Founders Cemetery, Marker #29

Epitaph: This lovely plant so young & fair, called hence by early doom, just came to show how sweet a flower in paradise could bloom

Elizabeth was born about February 1841 and died 18 May 1847 at the age of six—the third of four family members to die in the year 1847. The others were her brother Ansel, step-brother John, and her father, Theophilus. All are buried in Founders Cemetery. The cause of their deaths is not known.

Through Theophilus, Elizabeth is a Mayflower descendant, being descended from Mayflower passenger, William Brewster.

More information about Elizabeth, her siblings, and her parents may be found in the Old Stones Family Group Sheet Index.

Please leave a comment if you have information about her, particularly the cause of her death and the other family members who died in 1847.
